About the Technician exam
How hard is the Technician exam?
Most people pass after a couple of weeks of practice. The questions and answers are published in advance, so studying the pool directly is the fastest route.
Do I need to know Morse code?
No. Morse code has not been required for any US amateur license since 2007.
How much does the exam cost?
Test sessions typically cost around $15, plus the FCC's application fee. Fees are set by the Volunteer Examiner Coordinator running your session.
